Board & Batten Cladding

Board and Batten cladding has a degree of nostalgia associated with it.

Long before the development of even the most rudimentary of wood processing machinery, this method of fixing boards to provide a weather tight facing was widely used.

In today's applications, where boards are normally of 17mm minimum thickness, this age old fixing concept provides much greater depth of relief than what is obtained with machine profiled sections like traditional shiplap.

This more robust appearance is ideally suited to designs requiring a rugged or rustic appearance.

Timbeck offers a wide range of both sawn and dressed boards suitable for any application of Board & Batten Cladding.

Boards are available in  Western Red Cedar and many other popular species including :

American Oak

Coastal Blackbutt

Blue Gum

Douglas Fir

European Oak

Hemlock

Hoop Pine

Ironbark

Jarrah

Kwila (Merbau)

Rock Maple

Rosewood - N.G.

Spotted Gum

Tasmanian Oak

Victorian Ash

Walnut

Because Western Red Cedar has such a low shrinkage rate, WRC Board & Batten cladding

can be sourced from both unseasoned and seasoned stock.
