Overview

Timbeck Blackbutt cladding is suitable for many types of construction, including commercial and domestic buildings. The lightweight nature of Blackbutt makes it very simple to install, as it is straight-grained timber. It offers excellent dimensional stability and low shrinkage rates, decreasing the risk of movement within the product and assuring long-term performance excellence.

Blackbutt has become an increasingly popular choice for Australian timber species, as its natural beauty from Southern Queensland not only produces a lighter neutral palette, but it offers a design freedom as it can be molded into random lengths.

If you’re looking for the best timber panelling for your next project, you’ll find the perfect profile among our vast selection. We only use the best grade of Western Red Cedar for all hardwood timber cladding, including any kiln-dried project.

We’ve been providing timber goods throughout Australia for over 50 years and are professionals in the area, so you can be certain that you’re getting the best quality available.

Our Western Red Cedar panelling is available in four profile types: Shiplap, Vee Joint, Regency, and Sauna, all of which accommodate the tongue and groove design and may be installed using either face or concealed fastening techniques.

Hardwood timber cladding is also great for any interior designs, with our manufacturer’s recommendations being using a warm nutty hue colourway for any cream or white interior household colours.

Sizes and Profiles

Our standard softwood panelling profiles include four basic shapes: Shiplap, Vee Joint, and Regency in 9mm, as well as a rounded edge profile in 12mm. The rounded edge option is intended to satisfy the needs of the sauna business, but it may also be utilised in other situations where the rich warmth of sauna panelling provides a desired impression.

Shiplap profiles are generally 9 mm thick with a 12mm broad groove at 5 degrees from vertical with cover choices of 84 and 133. Rather of being merely square-profiled, our whole line of shiplap panels is machined with a mild easing on all corners, giving them a somewhat softer look and considerably improving coating material adherence. This is especially essential for items that are exposed to the elements.

Vee junction profiles are offered in 86 or 137 mm cover ranges, with the centre V available in the 137 mm cover range. They are 9 mm thick, with a 45-degree V angle off the 1 mm shoulder. Regency profiles come in 84 and 133 mm covers and are 9 mm thick, while our sauna profiles come in 84 mm covers and are 9 mm thick.

Customised detailing is easily accommodated in addition to our regular selection of stock profiles, and this flexibility allows designers to tailor design their panelling to fit their structures.
